Declared Pest Rates consultation 2025-26

In accordance with the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management (Declared Pest Account) Regulations 2020, the Minister for Agriculture and Food is carrying out consultation on Declared Pest Rates for the 2025-2026 financial year. This is done prior to the rates being determined and published in the Western Australian Government Gazette.

This annual consultation is a valuable process to enable the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) to gauge landholder perceptions of the Declared Pest Rate.

Consultation opens 23 April 2025 at 8:00 am and closes midnight 22 May 2025 (AWST).

Please access the 2025-26 Declared Pest Rate consultation survey via this link. Once the Minister has reviewed the results of consultation and determined the rates, they will be published in the Western Australian Government Gazette.

The previously determined Declared Pest Rates and consultation results for the financial year commencing on 1 July 2024 can be viewed here.
